Technological changes in the hospitality industry and education have incited a need for a special interest group in the fields of hospitality/tourism, information technology, and e-business. Hospitality Information Technology SIG (HIT SIG) was started in 2001.

HIT SIG serves as a platform where ICHRIE members exchange ideas, learn about innovative industry trends, and share best practices on technology research and teaching techniques. The group offers panel presentations, round-table discussions and think tanks on an annual basis.

CHRIE members who are interested in technology related research and / or who teach technology related topics are encouraged to join this SIG. All CHRIE members are welcomed to functions and meetings organized by this SIG.
