CHRIE FutureFund™

The CHRIE FutureFund™ is a tremendous opportunity that International CHRIE has created to prepare for our needs tomorrow. It helps assure that CHRIE will remain the leading international organization dedicated to the advancement of hospitality and tourism education and research as it supports the professional development of its members and industry.

The CHRIE FutureFund™ is an endowment account where gifts and funds are invested to ensure the future of the organization by providing a perpetual income stream. While the invested principal by law must be preserved, the organization can decide to use the earning on the fund for purposes directly related to our mission. For example:

  • to promote the linkage/network/partnerships between education and industry;
  • to target future needs such as recruitment, standards development, faculty improvement, and professional development;
  • to provide funding support for certain volunteer leadership expenses;
  • to cover some operating expenses–such unique capital purchases as integrated association management computer software programs and/or upgrades.

The idea for the endowment was launched in 1986, and an Endowment Fund Committee was established in 1992 charged with establishing the fund, promoting opportunities for planned (estate) giving, and developing a plan to generate gifts. Through contributions today, or through planned giving from estates, all gifts–of all sizes–do and will make a difference.

Contributions to the CHRIE FutureFund™ are tax deductible for U.S. Federal income tax purposes to the extent provided by law. You receive written confirmation of your contribution for your records and monies generated for the CHRIE FutureFund™ are deposited into a special account.
