    A list of member institutions is made available to ICHRIE members and can be found in the "Members Only" section of the ICHRIE website.  International CHRIE also publishes an online Guide to College Programs. Go to www.guidetocollegeprograms.org for view the information.

  5. How can I get information on joining International CHRIE?
    Membership information can be found on the ICHRIE website at http://www.chrie.org/i4a/pages/Index.cfm?pageID=3290 . This page gives pricing and benefit information.  If you would like to fill out and submit a membership application online, click on the “Join Now" hyperlink found on this page which links to an electronic membership application.  
  6. How do I log on the ICHRIE member’s area page?
    To login into the CHRIE MEMBERS ONLY area, use your last name as your login and your CHRIE member ID number as your password.  If you have forgotten your password, there is a hyperlink which appears below the Login/Password box that will email your password to you.  In most cases, it only takes a few minutes to receive your password.

    If you are still experiencing difficulty with your login and/or your password is not operational, it may be for one of the following reasons:
    1. Your membership HAS RECENTLY expired. Your access rights to the ICHRIE MEMBERS ONLY section have been removed.
    2. Your membership expired, but you have recently renewed. Once your ICHRIE membership has expired, it normally takes 7-10 days for your member record to be reinstated on the website.
    3. You just applied for ICHRIE membership. It normally takes 7-10 days to process your new membership and to allow your web access rights to be instituted on the ICHRIE website.

      Please note that if you have logged onto the Members Area and updated your last name field in the directory, you must enter your last name EXACTLY as it now appears in order for your login name to be accepted.  For example, you changed your LAST NAME (i.e., Smith) to Smith, PhD.  You must enter your last name exactly as it matches the changes you have made to your record or your login will fail. 
  7. How do I change my password to access the "members only" section of the ICHRIE website?
    Your "default" password is your ICHRIE membership identification number. To change your ICHRIE website password, all you need to do is:
      1. Go to the ICHRIE Website at http://www.chrie.org/i4a/pages/Index.cfm?pageID=1  and select the "Members" tab on the upper right-hand corner of the ICHRIE home page
      2. Enter your name and password (one last time using your member ID as your password).
      3. Scroll down the right-hand side of the page until you find the hyperlink for the "Member Directory" and click on the hyperlink. Then, enter search information to find your ICHRIE member listing.
      4. Click on "Edit my profile" and proceed to create a custom password.  If you forget your new password, it can be emailed to you by selecting the link found below the member log-in screen.  After juist a few minutes, you will receive an email notification of your password.
  8. What is the difference between and individual and institutional membership?
    With an institutional membership, you receive a listing in the online Guide to College Programs, discounts on advertising rates for ads placed in ICHRIE publications, and reduced pricing for conference exhibition space. Your school will also have their career day schedule  listed on the ICHRIE career day calendar that is posted twice a year on our website. As an institutional member, your school will also be eligible to receive free copies of the bi-annual ICHRIE posters which promote the industry to hospitality and tourism students. 

    Another advantage of being an institutional ICHRIE member is the right to apply for and/or maintain chapter status as an approved Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society chapter which recognizes the top students in hospitality and tourism management programs at 4-year and 2-year schools.
  9. How do I submit articles to HOSTEUR™, JHTE or JHTR?
    The current guidelines for submissions to ICHRIE publications vary according to the approved criteria for each publication. Specific submission information can be found by visiting the ICHRIE website at http://www..chrie.org/i4a/pages/Index.cfm?pageID=3396. Before submitting your article, please carefully read the stated guidelines. Because of production costs and deadline schedules, strict adherence to these guidelines will be enforced.
  10. How do I access a link that appears on the site as a red "X"?
    The problem is your web browser is not JAVA-enabled.  You will need to go to http://www.Sun.com and download Java for Windows at the following link:  http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads/.  In some countries, JAVA may not be a commonly-known operating system.
  11. Is there a banking fee when paying by wire transfer?
    Currently, our bank charges $US30 per wire transfer, so when paying by wire transfer, you must add the $US30 wire transfer fee to your total due in order for your dues or service payment to be processed.
