Tenured Full Professor

Minimum Qualifications: (1) an earned doctoral degree at time of application with at least one degree in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field; (2) a demonstrated distinguished record in research, teaching and service at the university level that meet the qualifications for the rank of full professor at the University of Central Florida; (3) experience in administrative and or leadership positions and recognized as a leading scholar in the hospitality tourism field; and (4) holds the rank of full professor with tenure at an accredited university. Preferred Qualifications: One of the graduate degrees in Hospitality / Tourism Management with expertise in Destination Management and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and a record of successful funding from public or private sources.

Responsibilities: The successful senior faculty candidate is expected to show interest in research, publish results and extramural funding to enhance the strengths of our College in destination and hospitality management.

Assistant Professor, Multiple Positions, Fall 2013 Term
9-Month, Full-Time, Tenure Track

Minimum Qualifications: (1) an earned doctoral degree at the time of appointment with at least one degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management or related field; (2) potential for research, teaching and service at the university level. Preferred Qualifications: Hospitality industry management experience. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities: Develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following hospitality/tourism specialized areas: event management; lodging management; hospitality/tourism human resources; hospitality/tourism marketing; guest services, hospitality accounting; hospitality finance; hospitality strategic management; hospitality communications, and restaurant food services. Participate in university, college and department committees; maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners; establish a strong research program and actively publish in appropriate journals.

Event Instructor, Fall 2013 Term
9-Month, Full-Time

Minimum Qualifications: (1) an earned Master’s degree at the time of appointment with at least one degree in the area of hospitality/ tourism management, marketing, event management or related field. (2) teaching experience in higher education and or a presenter in a professional industry setting. (3) industry experience in the event management field.

Responsibilities: Develop and instruct undergraduate classroom courses related to event management. Participate in university, college and department committees; assist with events related to the curriculum as needed; participate in event industry organizations; serve as a liaison with the College of Arts and Humanities.
