The Department of Hospitality, Recreation, and Sport Management at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time faculty position in its Hospitality Management program. Appointment will be either at the rank of Assistant Professor or Instructor, depending upon background and experience of the successful applicant. Minimum requirements for this position include a Masters Degree (Earned doctorate strongly preferred) in Hospitality Management or closely related field, significant management experience in the hospitality industry, and a demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship and service. Review of applications will commence October 1, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching and advising, professional development and scholarly activity, acting as lead advisor for the experiential learning program, and service to the college, community and industry. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver a wide range of hospitality management undergraduate courses, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Food and beverage management, hotel / resort management and hospitality financial management.
