Associate/Professor, Hospitality & Tourism Administration

The School of Business invites applications for the following positions:

One nine-month, tenure-track position at the rank of Associate/Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Administration in the School of Business. Focusing in the area of: Lodging and Finance; summer teaching is possible. Position is available August 2013.

Candidate must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Hospitality Management or a related field; possess industry experience; and relevant teaching experience in Lodging, Revenue Management and Finance is preferred. For the Associate and Professor levels: The applicant must have a minimum of 7 years of University teaching a demonstrated record of research articles in notable journals and relevant industry experience. The applicant must demonstrate continuous improvement as evidenced by professional development, research, and service to the community and profession.

All faculty members are expected to teach, advise students, conduct and publish scholarly research, and participate in professional and university service. Participation in continuous improvement activities and industry certifications are desirable.

The Hospitality and Tourism is ACPHA accredited and is housed within an AACSB accredited School of Business and offers the Bachelor of Science degrees, the Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). The Program offers the online Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism since 2009.
