Director, Global University Relations

The Marriott International Headquarters, located at 10400 Fernwood Road, Bethesda MD 20917 is currently hiring a Director, Global University Relations (Job Order 130005LM) Job Summary As a member of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Center of Expertise (COE), Global Talent Acquisition, this position contributes a high level of specialized knowledge, skill and consultative leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of global university relations strategies, programs and solutions. This position collaborates with the rest of the Global Talent Acquisition team, the Continent Human Resources team, other Human Resources professionals and business leaders across business lines, brands, disciplines, as well as vendor partners to support Marriott International’s university relations efforts and goals. This position works with the Continent Human Resources leadership team to analyze the company’s short and long term talent needs, design and deploy new university relations strategies, programs, tools and technologies for the global organization inclusive of all Continental divisions, brands and businesses. This position requires the ability to work independently, as a project team leader, as well as a team member. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition and/or business consulting.
  • 5 years or more in a managerial or project leadership role with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams
  • Previous experience in university relations, talent acquisition or talent management required.
  • Previous experience working in an organization with globally dispersed operations in countries operating in languages other than English preferred. Experience in hospitality/service industry or industry with field-based operations a plus.
  • Previous experience working with social media channels preferred.
  • Previous consulting (internal or external) experience is a plus.
