Faculty Position The Department of Human Nutrition and Hospitality Management, College of Human Environmental Sciences, The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa invites applicants for a tenure track, 9-month Assistant/Associate Professor position. The position is general restaurant, hotel, and/or meeting & event management (RHM). Qualified candidates must possess an earned doctorate in Hospitality Management or related area; have evidence of research and grant activity including ability to establish a focused research program; have 5-10 years of teaching experience at the college level; and have 5 or more years of work experience in the restaurant, hotel, or meeting/event planning industries. Responsibilities include teaching RHM emphasis courses in hotel, restaurant, and/or meetings/events; teach distance education courses; assist in developing on-going relationships with professional hospitality organizations; advise and mentor students, serve as faculty advisor and serve on college and university committees.
