The DePaul University School of Hospitality Leadership announces a non-tenure track Instructor position to be filled effective fall of 2013.
A master's degree is required; preference is given for degrees in hospitality or a business related field. Three years of hospitality industry experience is also required.
The position of instructor is that of a full time employee (35 hours/week or 7.5/hours/day) and includes both teaching and administrative responsibilities. Primary teaching duties include the delivery of 36 credits (nine typical 4-credit courses or any mix of 1, 2 and 4 credit courses to equal 36 credits) during the academic year.
Other duties include administrative support to help grow the program, including such activities as involvement in our career day event, representing the School at university and college open house events for new undergraduate and graduate students, staffing our booth to promote the School both on and off campus, working with our events team to create and implement various School programs, assisting student clubs with their activities, and other duties as assigned. Note that some of these events are in the evening and/or on weekends.
Salary is based on experience plus the standard DePaul employee benefit package.
The term of employment is for one (1) year and is renewable at the discretion of director of the School.
