Assistant or Associate Professor, Hospitality Management

The Department of Hospitality, Recreation, and Sport Management at York College of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in its Hospitality Management program.

Poised for further expansion, Hospitality Management is one of York’s most viable programs with a rapidly expanding enrollment. Appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Minimum requirements for this position include an earned doctorate in Hospitality Management or closely related field and a demonstrated track record of excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship and service. Significant management experience in the hospitality industry is also desirable. Review of applications will commence December 1, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled.

Responsibilities of the position include teaching and advising, professional development and scholarly activity, and service to the college, community and industry. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver a wide range of hospitality management undergraduate courses, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Food and beverage management, hotel/resort management and hospitality financial management.
