The school is currently recruiting an assistant, associate, or full professor in economics [micro-macroeconomics] at the assistant or associate level.
We seek candidates who have published in, or aspire to publish in top-tier business journals and hospitality discipline journals, and/or whose research and teaching interests can be easily applied to the hospitality and service industry, which is broadly defined to include foodservice, lodging, and travel-related businesses, etc. Scholars whose research and teaching interests are particularly relevant to the hospitality industry are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should be interested in developing their research ideas for the hospitality practitioner audience as well as for top-tier academic journals. Teaching excellence, as well as research excellence, is highly valued at EHL. The teaching load depends on research productivity.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Prior research, teaching, and/or business experience in the hospitality industry is desirable but not required. The École hôtelière de Lausanne is currently creating a research center that shall provide data sets and industry connections that can facilitate the candidate's future research and teaching about the industry.
