Junior F&B Instructors - Restaurants (0.5 FTE & 1.0 FTE)
who inspire students to get the best out of their F&B practical education programme

Organisation
You will join a dynamic, hardworking team of professionals in a challenging but friendly environment. Hotelschool The Hague has built up an excellent reputation over the last 85 years, the result of the structured educational programme and the experience and quality of our staff, lecturers and instructors.

General Function Description
Hotelschool The Hague students need practical experience to fully develop their hands-on approach and hospitality management skills. They gain this experience in our own facilities: at both campuses there are different restaurant concepts and a hotel where students learn and practice essential F&B and hospitality skills.
You will be part of the F&B service team, and work for Room Service, Les Saveurs and La Mangerie, working on a variable schedule. At the Hotelschool, senior students who have completed their internship, manage the first year students during their practical education in the F&B facilities. You coach and supervise both these groups. Additionally, you will work in our Fine-Dining restaurants.

Candidate Profile
You have/are:

  • a recently graduated Hotelschool The Hague student;
  • experience at Fine-Dining restaurants;
  • familiar with a range of contemporary business restaurant concepts;
  • experience with modern, automated order processes;
  • a team player; within our team this means that you are a flexible, committed, trustworthy, innovative and convincing colleague;
  • willing to work irregular hours (occasionally at weekends);
  • excellent verbal and written command of both Dutch and English;
  • an affinity with the hospitality sector and education.

Remuneration
Remuneration will be paid via a payroll agency, based on salary scale 7, with a gross monthly salary of € 1.973,89, based on full time employment.

Additional information
The part-time position (20 hours a week) is for a fixed period from May 19th until July 4th.
The full-time position (38 hours a week) is for a fixed period from May 15th until August 15th.

An English language proficiency test is part of the selection procedures.

You will be mainly working in the new Amsterdam campus located on the Jan Evertsenstraat.

You will be working with extremely motivated and internationally oriented students and a team of enthusiastic colleagues.
