Role of the Position
Seeking applicants for a full-time nine-month tenure-track position in sales management commencing August 2015. Responsibilities include: active engagement in a research program in sales management applied to meetings, events and particularly convention and visitors’ bureaus leading to scholarly publications, securing research grants, and mentoring graduate students as dissertation/thesis chair/committee member; teaching undergraduate and graduate classes and serving on various College and University committees; involvement in professional, community, and industry roles.
This position requires an earned doctorate in any of the following: hospitality management, tourism, marketing, management, psychology, sales management, strategic planning, channels and logistics management or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university with evidence of scholarly research, publications, and research grant activity.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
