The Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management (see www.aeshm.hs.ia state.edu) invites applications for a tenure track position starting August 2015. Position responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching, conducting funded research, and participating in service and outreach. The successful candidate is an individual who has experience in foodservice management, including both for profit and on-site operations.
A doctoral degree in hospitality management or related field must be earned by the starting date, and at least one degree must be in hospitality management. Two years management experience in the events or hospitality or related industry is required. Preference will be given to candidates with the Registered Dietitian credential, online teaching experience, a record of scholarly publishing and/or funded grants, and a record of teaching foodservice management at a college/university level.
