Assistant/Associate Professor - Hospitality Management

Tenure-track faculty position available August 21, 2015.

Responsibilities: develop courses and instruct undergraduates in hospitality management with a commitment to excellence with expertise in one or more of the following areas—hotel strategy, hotel operations, and hospitality leadership; establish a focused program of scholarship and publish in appropriate top-tier journals; direct master’s theses and projects; advise students; provide service to the campus, community, and industry; support ongoing program growth and development.

Minimum qualifications: at least one degree in hospitality management or related field; requirements for a doctorate completed by date of appointment; relevant professional experience in hospitality management; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to work cooperatively and interact effectively with faculty and staff to contribute to the strategic plan for the department, college, and university.

Preferred qualifications: professional experience in hotel management; earned MBA; record of successful teaching of hospitality management or related field; evidence of scholarship through publications, presentations, and successful grant proposals; successful involvement with professional organizations in the discipline.
