Boston University invites applications for a faculty position in the School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) specializing in Hospitality Finance/Asset Management. Faculty position (non-tenure track) comes with the academic rank of Assistant Professor.

Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree in Hospitality Management or a related field. Evidence of effective teaching and consistent research of high quality required. The candidate should be able to teach related courses and demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach in additional industry-related disciplines such as Appraisal & Valuation, Hospitality Franchise Operations or Asset Management. International exposure, significant hospitality work experience, and extensive hospitality industry contacts are highly desired.

Expectations: All faculty members are expected to teach, conduct and actively publish peer-reviewed scholarly research, as well as participate in professional and university service. Faculty members are expected to develop connections with industry professionals and to continuously update their expertise through industry consulting and scholarly activities. Faculty members are also expected to advise individual students and student groups, and to participate in school and university service activities.

School Profile: The School of Hospitality Administration at Boston University is a specialized business program focused on the hospitality sector, especially the hotel and restaurant industries, with a solid liberal arts foundation, with approximately 400 students enrolled.
