Clinical or Assistant Professor in Hospitality and Tourism

The School of Business invites applications for the following position:

Position
Twelve-month Clinical Instructor, non-tenure track or a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Administration in the School of Business. The position requires expertise in the areas of: Culinary, Foodservice and Contract Food Service Management. For the non-tenure clinical faculty, the appointment is renewable annually but is not limited in duration. The position is available January 2013 or until filled.

Qualifications
The tenure-track applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline. The applicant must possess industry experience in: culinary, foodservice, restaurant and/or on-site food service management; and relevant university teaching experience and a published research record. The non-tenure track Clinical Instructor must possess training in culinary, chef certification and Master’s in Hospitality Management. The applicant must demonstrate continuous improvement as evidenced by professional development, and service to the community and profession.

Responsibilities
All faculty members are expected to teach, advise students, (conduct and publish scholarly research-tenure-track only) and participate in professional and university service. Faculty will be responsible for culinary/foodservice instruction in culinary teaching laboratory. Participation in continuous improvement activities and completion of industry certifications are desirable.

Salary
Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Program
The Hospitality and Tourism Administration program is ACPHA accredited and is housed within an AACSB accredited School of Business. The School offers the Bachelor of Science degree face-to-face and online, the Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism.
