Role of the Position
The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, faculty position in Hospitality Accounting to begin Fall 2013, subject to funding. The primary job duty will be to teach undergraduate hospitality financial and managerial accounting classes. The candidate may also teach other undergraduate and graduate hospitality classes related to the applicant’s education and experience. This position will have a 4/4 teaching load and also requires the performance of college, university, industry, and/or community service.

Qualifications
This position requires a doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university to be considered for the position at the Faculty In-Residence (non-tenure track) rank OR a minimum of a master degree from a regionally accredited college or university position to be considered for the position at the Lecturer (non-tenure track) rank. All applicants should have at least 5 years of significant accounting experience in the hospitality industry. Teaching experience is highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one accounting or finance certification.

Salary Range
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
