The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) is soliciting applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Applicants will be expected to conduct quality research as well as teach graduate and advanced undergraduate courses in one of two areas: Strategic Management including multi-unit/asset management, entrepreneurship and/or feasibility analysis; OR Services Management and Marketing including experience design, service quality management, and/or internal marketing.
The position is open (assistant/associate/full professor) where rank and salary will be based on qualifications and experience. Ph.D. in tourism and hospitality management or a related field is required. The appointment begins the fall semester, 2014.
The School is seeking scholars who have an established record of, or the potential for, excellence in scholarship, teaching and service. The faculty member will be expected to develop an active research program that is consistent with the broad areas of focus within the School. Preference will be given to applicants who have a strong publication record, an established record in sponsored research projects, and have teaching experience in both graduate and undergraduate academic programs.

The Tourism and Hospitality Program has a strong reputation for student placement that is a result of quality educational experiences supported by required internship experiences across all three degree programs: bachelors and masters’ degrees in Tourism and Hospitality Management, as well as the nation’s first Executive MBA program with a Hospitality Asset Management concentration. The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management is a self-standing school, affiliated with Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management, where a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Tourism and Sport emphasis is offered.
