We are making plans — have your say!

Theresa Lind, President, NENA

Thank you for pausing from your busy day to read the ICHRIE Communique. As we all have just embarked on yet another challenging semester for us and our students, I send best wishes for a meaningful and productive fall semester.

I would like to recognize our immediate past president, Jennifer Forney, for her leadership and hard work.  Alongside Jennifer, the NENA executive board and our Federation have accomplished a great deal in the last year.  Our NENA Federation is strong due to the amazing past leaders and the current leaders who are serving on the Federation and ICHRIE boards.  I encourage you all to become engaged with NENA and support our NENA Federation member, Joy Dickerson, as she serves as the ICHRIE President during this challenging time.

I would like to welcome and introduce you to our new NENA board.  I am really looking forward to working with the NENA board to serve you, the NENA members, as well as the greater ICHRIE community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us to share your ideas or concerns.  We recognize this year will be very different from years past, so we are already starting to make plans for how to best serve you.  However, we want to hear from you to make sure we are aligning your needs with our plans.  The 2020-2021 NENA board includes:

Immediate Past President: Jennifer Forney, University of Pittsburgh at Bradford:

President: Theresa Lind, James Madison University:

Vice President: Kirsten Tripodi, Sacred Heart University:

Secretary: Noel Criscione, Stockton University:

Treasurer: Joe Scarcelli, York College:

Director of Education:   Leslie Scamacca, LaGuardia Community College:

Director of Member Development: Tracy Michaud, Southern Maine University:

Director of Research: Gilpatrick Hornsby, James Madison University:

Director of Conference & Events: Tony Kim, James Madison University:

Again, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us with suggestions, comments, or concerns.  As we enter another challenging term, I am confidant that we will overcome the barriers we face and will continue to grow stronger as a Federation.  Good luck to all of you as you start a new academic year.
