Director of Hospitality Management Position

Type: Full Time, Tenure-track

Minimum Qualifications: Preferred PhD in Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field

Responsibilities: This will be a full-time, tenure-track position with teaching, research, and service responsibilities,and other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge, skills, and abilities as appropriate to the discipline General Days/Hours: Traditional classes are scheduled Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and evenings Monday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance There is also a possibility of summer teaching. Classes are taught face-to-face and online.

Arkansas State University: In Fall 2019, Embassy Suites will open on campus with 203 suites, a Houlihan’s restaurant, and a 40,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Red Wolf Convention Center. The hotel and convention center was built with the new A-State Hospitality program in mind. The hotel has a “Living Laboratory” for students to utilize for classes. The Embassy Suites Jonesboro is part of the latest generation of hotels featuring design changes to set the brand apart. This hotel will also be a certified SILVER LEED hotel built and operated. O’Reilly Hospitality Management will have a full sales and service team led by a General Manager with over 37 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry. New Houlihan’s American grill restaurant and bar located inside the hotel and owned and operated by O’Reilly Hospitality Management.
