ICHRIE FutureFund™ is pleased to announce major donations to the Legacy project.
ICHRIE LegacyFund™ created by the ICHRIE FutureFund™ with purpose of serving as a long-term investment path for the ICHRIE FutureFund™. While ICHRIE FutureFund™ sponsors several International CHRIE activities, such as the Best Paper Winners from the Graduate Research Conference and the annual Dissertation Proposal Competition, ICHRIE LegacyFund™ is designed as a long-term investment with spending not expected for many years. The goal will be to support ICHRIE members in a variety of activities. Initiated in 2024, Legacy had twelve inaugural pledges.
ANNOUNCING DONOR SOCIETY MEMBER | Auburn University Foundation
Auburn University Foundation is the first significant donor, as well as the first non-individual to contribute to ICHRIE LegacyFund™. Auburn’s donation is $10,000. Martin O’Neill, School Director of the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management, noted that the Horst Schulze School of Hospitality Management and Auburn University recognize the significance of supporting the future of hospitality and tourism management education and are pleased to be part of ICHRIE LegacyFund™.

In addition, we celebrate two ICHRIE Past Presidents, Terry Umbreit and Bob Bosselman, both have also each contributed $10,000 to ICHRIE LegacyFund™.
Several other inaugural pledges are nearing their commitment as well. A year-end report of donations will be provided to membership in early 2027.

A reminder that anyone can and is welcome to donate to Legacy.
The inaugural founders each pledged a commitment of $10,000, payable over a five-year period. At the 2026 ICHRIE Global Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, it was announced that International CHRIE and ICHRIE LegacyFund™ will initiate the ICHRIE Donor Recognition and Appreciation Program. This structure is designed to encourage donor progression, strengthen engagement, and provide recognition.
- The Starter Society is for donations from $1 to $199.
- The Achiever Society is for donations of $200 to $1,499.
- The Celebrity Society is for donations of $1,500 to $2,499.
- The Futurist Society is for donations of $2,500 to $3,999.
- The Star Society is for donations of $4,000 to $4,999.
- Legacy Society is for donations above $5,000 (with commitment to donate a minimum of $10,000).
Donations may be made at any time.
