4th Annual ICHRIE Dissertation Competition – Call for Submissions

The International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) invites doctoral candidates to submit their dissertation proposals to the 4th Annual ICHRIE Dissertation Competition, sponsored by the ICHRIE FutureFund^TM.

This competition is designed to support innovative dissertation research that contributes to the advancement of hospitality and tourism scholarship and practice. Submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process, and selected winners will be invited to present their research proposals during a special workshop at the ICHRIE Global Conference 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada (15–17 July 2026).

Two competition tracks are available:

• Best Dissertation Proposals (research in progress)

• Best Dissertations (recently completed dissertations)

Four winners (two from each track) will each receive a $1,000 USD award to support conference travel, accommodations, registration, and membership.

Eligible applicants must be full-time doctoral students in good standing, members of ICHRIE, and have an approved dissertation proposal from their advisor prior to submission.
