 Webinar Registration - Zoom

Are you responsible for an event training program or educational curriculum? Do you feel you are in a silo and wish you were more connected to others that are also building out these programs? Do you wonder what should be included in your programs or what’s now no longer relevant?

Join us for this webinar when we will share best practices, curate employer insights and exchange ideas. Taking the pulse of the industry after over two years of COVID disruption, we will review the effect this has on Event Management Programs in Higher Education.

Greetings to all of my fellow meeting and event faculty friends!

I hope you all are having an incredible Summer so far! I wanted to send you the cool things I see going on to keep on your radar - if you have anything to add globally please send it my way!

  • June 1, Helen Brett Scholarship is due
    • Up to $5,000 in tuition assistance for an undergraduate or graduate student planning to go into meetings and events. The student does not need to be a member of IAEE and it is open to students globally. Application here:
  • June 5-8.  EduCon. New Orleans, LA, USA.
  • June 21-23. MPI WEC. San Francisco, CA, USA.
    • After postponing MPI Europe earlier this year, this will be a larger event! No faculty program that I can see, but a great industry event. More information here:

The Journal of Convention and Event Management (JCET) is releasing a call for papers related to the future of our industry post-COVID. Be on the lookout for that special issue announcement next week. If you are interested and do not see the information, you can reach out to special issue guest editors Shawn Jung at [email protected] or myself.

PCMA just changed their North American Student competition to be global! Many faculty build this into their classrooms as part of a project and the results are always incredible. If you are interested in more information, you can find it here:

Fall Save the Dates:

To all of you incredible people – I have enjoyed seeing most of you online in Zoom meetings throughout the last couple of years. I wish you all the best throughout the summer and will talk to you in the Fall! Stay tuned for more fun as the year progresses and hope to see you at one of the events listed above!
