Kennesaw State University is accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Hospitality Management in the Michael A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality, beginning August 1, 2022. The selected candidate will develop and instruct various hospitality management courses at the undergraduate level including:

• Event planning, and management
• Introduction to hospitality management
• Restaurant concept development and management
• Private club management
• Other hospitality management courses

The successful candidate will also:

• Participate in university and college committees
• Develop and maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners
• Actively participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities
• Participate in program development and growth initiatives
• Participate in internal and external recruiting exercises
• Assist with managing the hospitality management program’s social media platforms
• Work with the hospitality business community
• Mentor hospitality management students

An earned master’s degree, or a foreign equivalent, in Hospitality Management or related field that includes at least 18 graduate credit hours within the hospitality discipline from an accredited university is required.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

• Record of teaching experience at the collegiate level
• Hospitality industry work experience
• Evidence of teaching and working with a culturally and an ethnically diverse community
• Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
