The White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the College of Business at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) invite applications and nominations for an Associate Dean and Director; which is a full-time administrative position at the Associate or Full Professor rank beginning in Fall 2023. The Associate Dean and Director will join The White Lodging School and Tourism Management and the College of Business at a moment of strength as well as great potential. The Associate Dean and Director will provide leadership, vision, and oversight for the school and college, as well as focus on recruitment, retention, curriculum development, external engagement, accreditation standards, and academic excellence. The Associate Dean and Director will report to the College of Business Dean.

The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Hospitality or closely related field along with experience in the hospitality and/or tourism industries. The ideal candidate will hold the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor with a record of teaching, applied research, curriculum development, leadership, fundraising, and community engagement.

The White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management’s primary mission is to provide a thorough grounding in industry principles across a wide variety of hospitality contexts. The Hospitality and Tourism Management Program (HTM) at PNW lays claim to a 30-year history of growth and development. It is a leading program within the College of Business, and its offerings are interdisciplinary by nature. The programs at the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management are known for their strength in preparing students for success in their careers, giving them the tools to be able to make an immediate impact after graduation. The College of Business is dedicated to influencing the lives of its students with experiential learning activities, instilling in them critical thinking skills, an understanding of business functions, and an ethical, inclusive, and global mindset. The College of Business is organized into the Department of Managerial Studies, the Department of Quantitative Business Studies, and the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Business programs in the college are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, International (AACSB). Hospitality and Tourism Management programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA).
