The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the CUHK Business School is now inviting applications for the position at the Professor/ Associate Professor level. Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in mainstream marketing/ management or in a related field of hospitality (by the time reporting for duty); (ii) competence in high-quality research and publish in both top-tier marketing/ management and hospitality journals; and (iii) strong commitment to teaching. The appointee will (a) teach a variety of basic and advanced-level marketing/ management related hospitality courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and (b) render services to advance the hospitality community in Hong Kong and Asia.Appointment(s) will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially commencing Fall 2023 or beyond, which, subject to performance and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Senior applicants should have an outstanding track record of research and teaching accomplishments. Outstanding candidates with substantial experience for Professor rank may be considered for substantive appointment forthwith.

About the School of Hotel and Tourism Management
The School of Hotel and Tourism Management, established in 1998, is an integral part of the CUHK Business School. Its vision is to become Asia-Pacific Region’s leading and preferred business program that focuses on hospitality and real estate. Our mission is to nurture tomorrow’s leaders for the hospitality and real estate communities through comprehensive business education, innovative research and teaching, and extensive industry and academic partnerships. The School offers the BBA in Hospitality and Real Estate, MSc in Real Estate and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration in both hospitality and real estate streams. The School of Hotel and Tourism Management comprises two research areas: Hospitality Marketing and Real Estate & Finance. It targets to produce high-quality, high-impact frontier research rooted in mainstream disciplines and benefiting the hospitality, tourism, and real estate industries.

The School now invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions with a focus in Marketing / Strategic Management with research interests related to strategy for hospitality travel and tourism industries. Potential areas of research focus include but are not limited to competitive strategy, inter-firm collaborations, entrepreneurial ventures, and innovation in service industries. Applicants with experiences in conducting industry collaborated and commercially sponsored research are preferred, commencing Fall 2023 or beyond. The appointment can be considered for substantiation, for which candidates should demonstrate an established record of excellence in research and teaching.
