Dr. Lea Dopson ESD Chapter of Distinction Award
Purpose
The purpose of the annual ESD Lea R. Dopson Chapter of Distinction (COD) Award is to recognize a leading local chapter for their efforts in advancing our six (6) points of honor: Creativity, Belonging, Ethics, Excellence, Leadership, and Service.
Application Procedure
Consideration for the COD Award is incorporated into the ESD Year-End Reporting process. When completing the required electronic Year-End Report, chapters may indicate whether they would like to be considered for the award by the ESD Board of Governors (BOG).
Eligibility is limited to active ESD chapters that operate in accordance with the ESD bylaws. In late May, the ESD BOG will review the Year-End Reports submitted by chapters seeking consideration and notify the award recipient(s) in June.
The selection process evaluates each chapter’s annual activities related to the six (6) Points of Honor of ESD, as well as the quality and level of chapter engagement. Considerations include holding at least one induction ceremony, developing industry collaborations, and conducting other relevant chapter activities.
The Dr. Lea Dopson ESD Chapter of Distinction Award plaques will be presented at the annual ICHRIE Global Conference.
