ICHRIE’s Legacy Fund began in 2024 as a new investment fund that would provide ICHRIE with a long-term endowment. Legacy Fund was created as an opportunity for ICHRIE members and friends of ICHRIE to invest in the long-term development of ICHRIE. Legacy Fund is a component of the Future Fund but is a separate fund under the direction of the ICHRIE Treasurer.

The immediate mission of Legacy Fund is to build and develop a fund that will support future generations of hospitality and tourism professionals. The likely beneficiaries of Legacy Fund are currently in primary school or not yet born. The Legacy Founders seek to meet future challenges and opportunities in the field of hospitality and tourism education. We seek others who wish to work with us in building a stronger future for hospitality and tourism educators.

Legacy Founders are those individuals who commit to donating $10,000 over a set period of time, while Legacy Members are those who commit to a one-time donation of $2,000. A Legacy Sustainer is someone who commits to a regular (monthly, semi-annual, annual) donation. In addition, anyone can contribute to Legacy Fund at any time (see below) and would be recognized as a Legacy Contributor. Formal recognition of all Legacy Fund donors will take place at each Annual Global ICHRIE Conference.
