|
- Pre-conference face to face event – afternoon (3-hours) is hosted by Faizan and Jenna.
- Teams present their research progress.
- 20 min presentation including 10 min Q&A
- Each team will:
- Develop hypotheses
- Determine design structure
- Identify key IVs and DVs
- Identify population and sample
- Select statistical test for resolving hypothesis
4. EuroCHRIE, Oct, 2023, Vienna
- Online event (3-hours) is hosted by Danny.
- Teams present their research progress.
- Each team will:
- Collect data/results of study
- Analyze data
- Report conclusions
Expectations:
- Teams are required to meet regularly once every two or three weeks.
- Each team consists of members based in North America, Europe, and Asia. Finding a time for regular meetings that works for everyone will be a challenge. But remember one of the purposes for Global Research Marathon is connecting people from all over the world.
- One group member needs to be physically present at each conference.
- There may be too many team members and not everyone was committed to the work. If there are team members do not contribute to the project, they can be let go. This is another reason for a big group size – not everyone in the team will make it through the final stage.
Rules:
- Disqualify groups who simply send a recorded presentation without anyone participating (not even online). They can, of course, continue working toward submitting a paper, but their participation in the sessions would be over.
- Disqualify pre-recorded presentations (even when a member participates online for Q&A). Presenting your research is part of the process, and pre-recording the presentation easily leads to just reading sentences off notes.
