Greetings & Salutations to our ICHRIE-SECSA Federation Members!

It gives me great pleasure to be able to serve as your SECSA-CHRIE President for the 2023-24 academic year. Being elected to lead a federation of colleagues is an honor in itself. However, this region includes the Caribbean, so, being a Jamaican at the helm is pretty exciting for me. After all, hospitality is the business of the Caribbean region!

This is an exciting time to be a SECSA member, and we thank you for being a valued member of our federation. If you are new to our SECSA family, we extend a warm SECSA welcome to you and we look forward to a long-lasting relationship. To our seasoned members, we could not make it this far without YOU, and we genuinely appreciate your continued support. Your 2023-24 leadership team is enthusiastically committed to serving you as we work toward the goals of the federation and the larger ICHRIE organization.

Be on the lookout for activities we plan for this year. Our SECSA-CHRIE Conference will be on March 8 & 9, 2024, hosted by the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Come out to share your research, pedogeological tips and network with colleagues. In this changing world, we need each other even more, so let’s strengthen our SECSA community as we develop future hospitality leaders.
