Kate Price-Howard - Director of Marketing

Kate Price-Howard is an associate professor for Troy University for the School of Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management within the Sorrell College of Business and has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 35 years. Her work during these years was primarily at resort and property management companies, but also included academia, cruise ships, summer camps, and recreation therapy. She has experientially taught commercial recreation to college juniors and seniors in an internship setting as an agency supervisor for her own company, Go Play, Inc., since 2001. She is a board member of SECSA (Southeast, Central & South America Federation of ICHRIE), and a current member of Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, and Resort and Commercial Recreation Association, and recently became an editor for the Journal of Tourism Insights.

Alessia Moretti - EuroCHRIE Representative

Alessia Moretti is an Academic Assistant at “César Ritz Colleges Switzerland”, a leader Institution in Hospitality and Culinary education. After the bachelor's degree in “Modern Languages and Cultures for the International Tourism” at University of Pavia in 2011, she worked some years in the Hospitality industry, first as a Front Desk Agent and later as an Assistant Front Office Manager. In 2020 she became Academic Assistant at “César Ritz Colleges Switzerland”, where in 2022 she joined the “Master of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurship”, in partnership with the University of Derby. In April 2023, alongside her role as an Academic Assistant, she started to teach in the Bachelor program in Hospitality.

Dr. Heather Lewis - SECSA Representative

Dr. Heather Lewis is an Associate Professor of Hospitality Management at Troy University. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Glenville State College and her master’s in business administration from Fairmont State University. She went on to obtain her Ph.D. in hospitality management from Iowa State University. Prior to teaching at Troy University, she taught business management courses at Glenville State University. Dr. Lewis worked in the hospitality industry for several years as a hotel property manager prior to teaching in higher education. She teaches courses focused on hospitality management including HR Management in Hospitality, Resort and Hotel Management, Event Management, Food and Beverage Management, Hospitality Service, and Hospitality and Tourism Marketing. In addition to teaching, she serves as the faculty advisor for both the Hospitality & Tourism Club as well as the Eta Sigma Delta Chapter at Troy. Dr. Lewis also serves as the Director of Member Services for the SECSA Federation of ICHRIE.
