Inaugural ICHRIE Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) Undergraduate Research Symposium Wrap-Up

The Inaugural ICHRIE Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) Undergraduate Research Symposium is a wrap!

The first ICHRIE Eta Sigma Delta (ESD) Undergraduate Research Symposium was held 20-21 February 2024 in Miami, Florida, USA – and can we just say that it was not just the sun that was bright in Miami – but THE UNDERGRADUATES

This group of phenomenal students, from 12 universities, were well researched and prepared as they presented their findings on some very hot topics in the hospitality industryThe poise and knowledge among this group was impressive!

Here is a look back at our event:

HOST

The students and faculty were hosted by Florida International University (FIU), Chaplin School of Hospitality Management. The facilities at Kovens Conference Center provided a beautiful venue to host this program and we are very grateful to Dr. Michael Cheng for his generosity.

WELCOME RECEPTION ENTERTAINMENT

The Bacardi Center of Excellence, Bartenders Guild at FIU (student-run organization) opened this program by providing hands-on instruction to crafting mocktails and cocktail making.  With their guidance, freshly muddled and shaken delightful beverages were enjoyed by all.  These exuberant and friendly students provided smiles and a bit of dancing to keep the evening entertaining!
