Summary of Job Duties:
This is a 9-month tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant tenure track professor in the School of Human Environmental Sciences. The chosen candidate will be expected to lead an active research program in hospitality industry issues such as finance, managerial accounting, business strategy, economics and entrepreneurship. Responsibilities also include teaching undergraduate and graduate hospitality courses, mentoring graduate and honors students, and academic advising.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in hospitality management or a closely related field with training and experience in hospitality research
- A minimum of 5 years prior hospitality industry experience
- Demonstrated interests and broad training in the hospitality industry primarily in finance, managerial accounting, business strategy, economics, and entrepreneurship
- Evidence of multiple teaching delivery methods
- Evidence of scholarly activity, including, but not limited to publications, conference presentations and grant writing
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of ability to conduct research activities independently and collaboratively
- Evidence of teaching, advising or mentoring undergraduate, honors, and graduate students
- Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and sustain an extramurally funded research program
- History of interdisciplinary training or collaborations with peers and colleagues in the hospitality industry and professional organizations
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient with industry software used in teaching hospitality and general business commerce

Salary Information: $80,000 - $85,000 (Commensurate with education and experience)
